The Real Wedding Ceremony

With approximately 1,900 guests, the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton began at 11 am in Westminster Abbey. Prince William dressed in his scarlet tunic of the Irish Guards officer and Catherine Middleton, clad in a classic dress created by designer Sarah Burton, the McQueen design house, they became husband and wife.

The ceremony ended with the choir singing Jerusalem, written by William Blake.

At this time, Kate Middleton and Catherine and the Duchess of Cambridge, travel through the downtown streets of London.

Meanwhile some 650 guests are directed to the private reception at Buckingham Palace organized by Queen Elizabeth II as a gift to her grandson.
