Rima Fakih, Miss USA 2010, seems to be another one of those beauty queens that make up the list of controversies and misses being stolen tabloid scandals.On the night of Saturday, the first Muslim American to win the coveted crown of Miss USA was arrested, apparently for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to TMZ, Fakih was arrested in the area of Highland Park in Michigan under the suspicion that he was driving drunk. Initially, the former beauty queen tried to deny the incident through his Twitter account hours of the morning, writing: "Let me clear things up now. I'm not in Michigan and I'm not in jail," said Rima Fakih.
But the version of his lawyer, Doraid Elder, Detroit Free Press newspaper contradicts this when the lawyer said: "Unfortunately if it was her." At that time, the tweet was gone from his personal account and Elder said Fakih was "very sad and apologized for the situation we face."
