Britney Spears song stolen

Britney Spears is said to have copied from the Bellamy Brothers

Serious allegations against the pop princess: The famous U.S. country duo The Bellamy Brothers claimed Britney Spears had for their new hit "Hold It against Me" written down the text of them. The brothers Howard and David Bellamy published the 1979 song "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me?" and find that the text copy is more than obvious.

"Howard and I have no personal problem with Britney Spears. She is a talented girl," said David Bellamy against TMZ. "But we are professional, honest, totally exploited. Where is the originality?"

On its Web site published a statement the country duo's lawyer Christopher E. Schmidt. Pointing out that Spears' songwriters Max Martin and Dr. Luke had done in the past again and again with copyright infringement, he calls songs like "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne Katy Perry's "California Gurls". Now consider the attorneys of the Bellamy's, whether it is Britney Spears' song is a plagiarism.

The singer herself has so far not commented on the allegations. It remains to be seen whether the case ends up in court ...have also colleague Christina Aguilera, Pop titan Dieter Bohlen and even our Lena Assuming copied to: Not the first accusation of plagiarism in the history of successful pop music.
